Blog Assignment - Beginning Strings

Here are the questions you nee to answer for your blog assignment.  You must use full sentences, correct capitalization, correct punctuation, correct spelling in addition to providing the correct answers.

This assignment is due on December 2nd, just like your Practice Seet.

First step is to join the blog if you are able.  You may need your parent's permission.

You can find the different blog entries in the column on the right that says:  Blog Archive.

QUESTIONS:
1.  Look down the right side column under November for a blog post that says:  "New! Text Alerts and Reminders for Orchestra - Sign UP."  Look at the post and try to sign up for Remind101.  You get 10 extra credit points for you and each of your parent/guardians who sign up.  Write a sentence saying who signed up for Remind101 or why you weren't able to sign up for Remind101

2.  Look for a blog post called "JHO - Congratulations to all students."  On the blog post you will see names that are highlighted.  These are the students from Billinghurst who made Junior Honor Orchestra.  Write a sentence that includes the names of two people who play your instrument.

3.  If you needed to find the concert schedule for this year which blog entry would you look under?  Write a sentence how to find this information. (Hint:  It's in September and you may have to look around for a few minutes.)

4.  Look around and find one blog entry you find interesting.  Write down the date of the entry and write a sentence about what you find interesting about that entry.

Your parents must sign the back of the practice sheet to show that they have seen the blog too.  If you do not have a computer at home, please have Mrs. Coulihan sign your paper that you did this homework assignment at the library.

Beginning Theory/History Assignment Week 1 Quarter 2

This week’s assignment is to learn about the Billinghurst Orchestra blog.  If you do not have a computer at home, please make arrangements to go to the library and use the computer there during lunch or come into Mrs. Neidhold’s room and use the extra computer there.

You can find the blog at this address:  www.billinghurstorchestras.blogspot.com

Now that you’re on the blog, look to the right column (look down if you need to) where it says “Blog Archive.”  This is where you will find all the different blog entries. Either the blog assignment will be the first item or look on the Archives for November: “Blog Assignment 2013 – Beginning Strings.”  Click on the title.  Answer the questions on the blog entry.  These instructions will change randomly during the week so please write down the date and time you checked the blog.  Besides being a good resource for you, please make sure your parents are aware of the blog to answer any of the questions that they may have.

ANSWER THE QUESTIONS ON THE BLOG HERE FOR CREDIT.  YOUR PARENTS OR MS. COULIHAN MUST SIGN AND DATE THIS SHEET.
Full sentences, capitalization, punctuation, good grammar and your best spelling count toward the grade.
