Meeting with Superintendent about Traditional Calendar

After receiving signed petitions, Superintendent Martinez has scheduled a town hall meeting at Jessie Beck on Thursday, November 8th at 6:00 p.m., to specifically discuss the calendar.  This is parents' chance to speak up and make it clear to Superintendent Martinez  if you are opposed to the calendar change, and how the survey was "presented" by the school district.  Trustee Grein will also be in attendance at this town hall meeting and will be inviting other trustees to join him.  It should be a quick meeting since the Jessie Beck PFA meeting is scheduled to start at 6:30.   Please forward this message on to all those who are interested in this issue.  This is a huge opportunity for parents, but it will only make a difference if a large number of  people opposed to the calendar attend.  If just a handful of people show up, the apparent lack of interest will kill any potential for reversing the calendar change.

This is an opportunity to speak up if you wish, ask questions, or just be there in support of the opposition to the calendar.
